Where to Find School Supplies in 2017

With summer is in full force, your child might not be even thinking about school at this point, however, it is not too early to start looking for school supplies! King County 2-1-1 has been collecting information for area school supplies programs and many are currently active.

Call 2-1-1 to find programs in your area or check out the current list here. We ask that you please not print out the programs on this list as we are continuing to add new ones, and there are others that fill up pretty quickly as well as some that are extended beyond their initial registration deadline.

The list is a mix of programs that serve everyone as well as those that are for students in certain school districts or ZIP codes. Some require registration in advance, and some that are one-day events with no registration needed.

Homeless students can also receive assistance with school supplies from the Homeless Liaison in their school district. Click here for the contact information for Homeless Liaisons in each school district.

While King County 2-1-1 does try to maintain a comprehensive list of school supply programs each year, we do encourage reaching out to your school, local food pantry, community center or church as there may be programs available in your area that don’t list with us.

If you are a provider that has a school supply program that would like to be listed, please let us know. Call (206) 461-3210 and ask to speak to someone in the Resource Center.
