As part of King County Public Health’s efforts to prevent an outbreak of Hepatitis A, Medical Medical Team will be offering free Hepatitis A vaccines for any county resident living or recently living homeless at five locations throughout the county. Hepatitis A is a preventable, potentially fatal viral infection that has already affected over 460 people and killed 17 this year in San Diego. People living homeless without adequate hygiene facilities, and those serving and caring for them are particularly at risk. Vaccination and prevention can protect yourself and others from this life-threatening disease.
