King County 2-1-1 is known for providing personalized information and referrals over the phone, connecting people to services that help with housing, food, clothing, shelter, utility payments, healthcare, and more. But did you know that you can now send an email to get help from 2-1-1? It’s true! Our new online help request form is available on our website here.
We’re excited to be able to offer referrals for a variety of needs through email, since we realize not everyone has easy access to a phone. Once an email request is received, a 2-1-1 Specialist will reply by the end of the following business day.
Specialists continue to be available at 2-1-1 to assist over the phone Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm. Urgent requests and some referrals for legal help or Coordinated Entry for All will still need to be handled over the phone, but we’re happy to share the good news that our hold-times have decreased substantially, and we now offer a call-back option so people don’t need to stay waiting on hold.
We also continue to provide assistance through our online chat service, and you can search our Community Resources Online referral database any time of day to find the help you need.
