The Washington State Department of Health is offering a free training to help providers improve blood pressure control in their patients. Uncontrolled high blood pressure causes damage that leads to heart disease and stroke. In Washington state, more people die from heart disease and stroke than any other cause.
Participants will learn to support accurate blood pressure measurements using an automatic monitor in any setting as well as how to support lifestyle behavior changes that improve blood pressure. This training provides validated health information, a resource packet and a certificate.
- At least 5 confirmed participants, up to 20 (or more)
- Space for 3-hour training
