Know anyone who needs help applying to become a U.S citizen? The Seattle Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs is hosting an event called Seattle United for Immigrants and Refugees that is offering free citizenship assistance and immigration consultations. The event will feature immigration attorneys and experts who can assist with citizenship applications and free legal consultations covering immigration questions.
For assistance with citizenship applications, you may sign up for a time slot by following this link and registering at this event page. You must also be 18 or older and have a Green Card or other proof of permanent residency.
Seattle United for Immigrants and Refugees will also provide free immigration consultations from 10am-2pm. You do NOT need to register in advance for immigration consultations, and there are no residency or eligibility requirements in order to have a consultation. Volunteer immigration attorneys will answer questions about immigration issues including DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival) and TPS (Temporary Protected Status).
